Merry Christmas to meeee

shoesYesterday I went to Willow Bend to trade in a couple china sets for some flatware. Instead I got a giftcard in case the flatware went on sale. I also went to the new DSW in the mall to spend my gc. I came out with FOUR pairs of shoes. However, they had a 50% off sale on all clearanced shoes, so I ended up paying less than 20 bucks for each pair. The one pictured was the one I was eyeing a few weeks ago. I got it in brown. I only spent 15 bucks out of pocket. Woot! Other than driving halfway down Texas to go to the Alamo Bowl, that was my only exciting new years. I was asleep on New Years Eve and woke up right at midnight to say happy new year.

Someone called me this past weekend though. She was trying to explain what happened and why she bailed on my wedding day. I haven’t called her back, not because I don’t want to, but because I wasn’t quite in the mood for an awkward conversation. I hate those situations. Why can’t it be cool all the time?? Anyway, I am over it and was never quite that upset, but I am curious to know as to what happened.

I finally got back to the gym after a 2 month hiatus. I spent 30 minutes doing cardio this morning. I guess it’s a step. It wasn’t quite as packed as I thought it would be, but there’s still this one annoying chick that I keep seeing. She goes at super sonic speed on the elliptical while reading. Anyway, that’s all.

Shopping

We spent a majority of our day shopping. The day started with our Sunday morning date having breakfast and reading the paper. Then we took off to go shopping up in Frisco. Man it was bitter cold, the wind was just brutal. Anyway, I think we bought of the stuff we needed to buy. I still have no idea what to give Brian. He doesn’t DirectTV even though I want it, and the stuff he asks for I refuse to buy because I know he won’t use it, like his bike, mousepad drawing thingy, his watches, etc etc. He may as well not get anything from me this year.

Anyway, I finally got caught up with some work which is great. Now the weekend is almost over, and we have to go back to work tomorrow.

Cheap Makeup

I don’t usually wear makeup, although I should. Anyway, someone recommended Elf which sells 1 dollar makeup. I hear it’s good quality. The shipping is pretty high, but I hear it’s worth it.

Christina needs to learn to put titles on here

I worked till 7pm again on Friday. Hopefully that’s my last one. What really pissed me off, was that I sat around for an hour for nothing.

I love this weather. This weekend Brian and I went shopping for some fall clothes. He of course always comes home with more stuff than me. I did get the jacket I was hoping to find. Yesterday I stopped by DSW, bc I LOVE shoes, and found the two cutest pairs. A pair of dark brown pumps for when I dress up and some really really cute peep toe pumps with stacked heels that were oh so comfy. Of course I felt guilty and left emptyhanded. But boy did I want those peep toe shoes. I may have to just go back and get them. Unfortunately I can’t really justify my purchases. A. I don’t need dressy shoes because work is casual. B. I have way too many pairs of shoes and don’t wear half of them. C. I just bought a pair of brown sandals last week. BUT, those are sandals and I need fall shoes.

Anyway…Brian set up a new blog for me. www.ourmarriedlife.com. So go there to find all the posts. I need to get the layout redesigned, the one up there currently is a bit drab…maybe that just describes our married life…hehe.

Reesey’s doing ok, she needs a bath still, and I think we say that everytime. Maybe we should just give her one. Other than that, she’s still a sweetie. Brian’s been a little busy with work as usual. I think he nearly died while watching the longhorn game. Silly man.

I’m sick

I’ve had this annoying cold for the last 2 weeks. I’m all phlegmy and gross. The other day I went to the gym. After 4 weeks of not doing weights, I went back full force. Not a good idea. My biceps are so sore, and I went on Wednesday, it’s now Saturday. Arg. Once I get better, I need to start going everyday as usual. I’ve definitely noticed that I’m much more tired if I don’t go. I also bought running shoes from Run On (I totally recommend them by the way). So hopefully I’ll start running full force. My goal is to be able to run 4 miles nonstop 3 times a week. Yeah. Ok.

Work is work. We’re approaching the holiday season which is the most hectic season. EEK.

I need to go get my nails done today. The French nails I had done for the wedding is starting to look stupid as my nails are growing out, so I need to get those removed. I need to get my toes done, last time of the year as the closed toe shoes season begins.
I want to go shoe shopping. Something about shopping for shoes is much more fun that shopping for clothes. I want new boots (again), this time low heels – like the riding boots.

JCrew has the perfect ones, but they’re ridiculously expensive.

I also need some pumps. I don’t have any good pumps. Although I’m not sure where I wear any of this since the dress code at work is casual.

Anyway, we got a couple sets of fiestaware in purple and green in the mail this week. So pretty!

Um still need to finish those thank you cards. I bought more since I ran out so I’ve got about 5 more to write and then I need to address them all and send them out by Monday hopefully.

Wedding Shoes

wedding shoes

I love shopping for shoes. I like drooling over the designer shoes that I know I will never ever buy. You know like the Manolos or Jimmy Choos. I saw some at Nordstroms a few weeks ago. If I was that vain, I’d buy em because I definitely saw some perfect wedding shoes.

I’ve been looking at some wedding shoe for inspiration. I’m very particular about what I put on my feet. I don’t want my toes falling off at the end of the night. But I want the shoes to be pretty of course. So I’m undecided between these four styles. Should I go with the sexy sandals, or the comfy bridal flats. Or maybe just go with the flip flops or a dressier flip flop. The thing is no one is going to see my shoes anyway, but I do like looking at the shoes and if I do find THE ONE, I’ll have to get it. My guess is I’ll stick with the flip flops.

I do know that I’m definitely NOT going to buy shoes online, I HAVE to try it on. When shopping down in San Marcos last week, I checked out every store that had shoes and found nothing close to bridal shoes. Too bad. I’ll have to run by DSW and see what they have in stock.
