BridesMaid Dresses

Watters and Watters was having a trunk sale show of all their fall style samples. The bridesmaids dresses were all 30 dollars and the bridal dresses were all 150. Not bad at all. Of course both Julie and Yi are size 0 and the sizes they had range from 2-24. So none of the dresses would fit. However, I love their bridesmaids dresses. So Julie and I went down to Dillards at Richardson Square since they were having a moving sale. We found a pink dress which we bought for and insanely cheap price. 9.75 each. So we bought it with the intent of it being the actual dresses. After taking it home and some deliberation, Brian and I decided it wasn’t formal enough. It’s more Sunday formal than wedding party formal. So we’re going to have to keep looking. 10 bucks for a dress isn’t a big loss, it was too cute and too cheap to pass up! I’ll have to post a picture of it soon. But we have plenty of time to keep looking. These dresses so far are my favorite Watters and Watters, and they come in the colors I like. We’ll have to go by Mockingbird Bridal or Priscilla of Boston to check out the prices.
So I found the perfect dress at JCrew, but it’s of course wayyy too expensive. 250 bucks a pop. It’s the exact color combination and everything. I’ll keep checking to see if it’s on sale….
I also need to call Julie and Yi so we can check out some bridesmaid dresses. I don’t like any of the ones I saw at any of the bridal shops. They’re so ugly. We may just go shopping at the mall and find matching dresses, I’m sure it’s cheaper. I know the tradition is for the bridesmaids to pay for their own dresses, but I just find it difficult to tell them that, especially since I asked them to be in my wedding. We’ll definitely have to work something out. My mom and sister told me to pay for the dresses and skip the attendent gifts. I think that’s a good idea. Either way, I just don’t want it to be a complete financial burden on the bridesmaids as well as myself. We can always rent. Um yeah. Maybe not.
