Week 1: Day 2 and 3

Day 2 – Did nothing! Although I was supposed to run 3 miles.
Day 3 – Completed 3 mile run from yesterday in 36 minutes. Did not have time for weights. Whoopsie. Will make it up over the weekend…maybe.

It’s going to be a challenge getting all the runs in the next two weeks with traveling and all, but I will do it. I think I will bypass the weight training until after Christmas time.

Week 1: Day 1 Half Marathon Training

Tried to wake up early to run, but not early enough. I went anyway.

Today’s goal was 2.5 miles. Total miles completed including walking was 2.68 miles. It was also supposed to be at an easy pace, so I took that to heart. I finished in 35 minutes. Not sure if I can run any slower. Still a good start to the week. Tomorrow will be strength training. Since we’re not training as a group yet, I’ll have to find my own way to the gym.

Anyway I’ll start tracking my weight once I start losing again. I for sure won’t be posting my actual before weight :-p. Maybe I’ll have B take some before pictures…

Today’s nutrition plan will suck. We’re going to Babes for lunch and there’s two trays of cookies outside my cube. One of them being the four kinds of cookies I baked last night. I already ate 3 cookies…but I was hungry and didn’t have breakfast :-p!

Half Marathon?

I’ve been loosely tweeting my journey towards doing the Insanity workouts and running. Now I’m training with a group of women for the Dallas Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon at the end of March. In addition to running 4 times a week, I’ll be incorporating some strength training (perhaps p90X). I’m hoping this will help me shed the last few pounds I need to lose. Sooo, beginning Sunday, I’ll be posting my before stats and we’ll see where I end up.

In the meantime, here’s my training plan.
