Wintry weather

They said this morning that it would ice over, but it’s been raining nonstop. I don’t think it’s ever going sleet, maybe tonight. I was hoping for some cold weather, but this rain is making me miserable. It’s cold, it’s wet, and I’m bored. What do you do on a weekend that’s cold and miserable?? I guess I can keep on organizing, but I have no place to put my stuff. Dinner is already in the crockpot.

So in looking at some of the houses out there, why do homeowners insist on putting tacky wallpaper in their houses. It’s just so ick. Too bad for them I skip over houses with wallpapers anywhere. Anyway, so the houses in the area we’re looking at (north dallas, south of plano, between addison and richardson area) either are way to old and need lots of work, or are half a million dollars or more. It seems that Allen has most of the houses that fit our tastes better. Unfortunately Allen fits the mold of cookie cutter homes. We’re looking for an updated kitchen, hardwood floors, nice bathroom with no wallpapering, good sized yards, TREES, and at least 2500 sq ft., and of course not in the ghetto and a good distance from work. Maybe we should look into getting a realtor if we’re really serious…

don’t let a little wallpaper discourage you! :o) i’m convinced that every previous owner of a house just didn’t make the effort to tear down the wallpaper and paint. but it’s really a very very easy thing to do (and cheap!). much easier and less costly than remodeling a kitchen or tearing out the floor and putting in new carpet/hardwood.

by the way, i love the look of your new site!

I don't quite know what to put here. I am Christina married to Brian. Originally I would post on LJ, but Brian decided to design a site just for me so that I can talk about him or at least talk about adjusting to the married life. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions. Hope you enjoy! More...
