Dad gets to go home

Well the doctor says he gets to come home today. woohoo. He has to go in later this week for a follow up and next steps, so we still don’t know what the deal is, but considering he gets to come home today, I’m hoping it’s not a big deal.

Gift from my husband

apron Brian decided to surprise me a gift and it was the first gift me bought me as a husband. As sweet as the gesture was and as cute as it was, I was a bit surprised that he gave me an APRON! Haha, don’t think for once I will be your little housewife.

It’s a darn cute apron though, and I love it. It’s the one below and it’s embroidered with Mrs. Behrend in pink at the top. Love it…

I’ve been wanting one just because I hate getting splattered with crap while cooking, and I am a messy cook. But it’s too pretty to wear and get stained. Anyway, he got it from Domistyle which was featured on weddingbee.

Sold vases

I sold my vases. Well I only had 12 of them with me, and sold all 12 for 2.50 each. Woohoo. I’ve listed my wedding dress for sale.

I have to get that album done this week to get the 50% off and have it printed in time for the holidays which is quickly creeping up. I just realized that we don’t get Christmas Eve off here. That BLOWS. We don’t even get New Years Eve off either. Speaking of which I need to shop for Christmas. I really have no clue what I want. I told Brian, I want a leather jacket. That’s what I got him last season, so it’s my turn. I also want a new car. ;-)

I need some suggestions on happy hour locations for work. I’ve been tasked to plan this, well not officially, but to plan a happy hour for the CS team since the job drives us to become alcoholics and all. There’s Fox and Hound and Humperdinks, but I think we’re all tired of the two. One’s smelly and the other is grimy. It would be great if it was in the Richardson area…

Christina needs to learn to put titles on here

I worked till 7pm again on Friday. Hopefully that’s my last one. What really pissed me off, was that I sat around for an hour for nothing.

I love this weather. This weekend Brian and I went shopping for some fall clothes. He of course always comes home with more stuff than me. I did get the jacket I was hoping to find. Yesterday I stopped by DSW, bc I LOVE shoes, and found the two cutest pairs. A pair of dark brown pumps for when I dress up and some really really cute peep toe pumps with stacked heels that were oh so comfy. Of course I felt guilty and left emptyhanded. But boy did I want those peep toe shoes. I may have to just go back and get them. Unfortunately I can’t really justify my purchases. A. I don’t need dressy shoes because work is casual. B. I have way too many pairs of shoes and don’t wear half of them. C. I just bought a pair of brown sandals last week. BUT, those are sandals and I need fall shoes.

Anyway…Brian set up a new blog for me. www.ourmarriedlife.com. So go there to find all the posts. I need to get the layout redesigned, the one up there currently is a bit drab…maybe that just describes our married life…hehe.

Reesey’s doing ok, she needs a bath still, and I think we say that everytime. Maybe we should just give her one. Other than that, she’s still a sweetie. Brian’s been a little busy with work as usual. I think he nearly died while watching the longhorn game. Silly man.

Album

I am determined to finish my album this weekend. I need to in order to get the 50% off special pricing from mypublisher.com.

Anyway, I still peruse other people’s wedding pictures, and I can’t help but be jealous. UGH. Not that ours weren’t good, but each set of photos I see have their own unique quality and I wish mine had every single one of them. Maybe I should stop looking…

I made it to the gym twice already this weekend. Yay, we’re starting to get back on track, sorta. I ran 2 miles today. I’m still sore from my weight class on Monday. My hamstrings hurt from all those lunges, and biceps are a little sore. I was supposed to go this morning with Brian, but just couldn’t make it out of bed, so I went after work instead. It got really cold this evening. I’m loving this weather, I hope it stays cool, unfortunately I think we’ll have a mild winter.

Brian might be going out of town in a couple weeks. That’s not fair, he’s not allowed to go on work trips, that’s my job! He’ll be gone for a whole week, so I don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself all week, play with Reesey??? She’ll be sooo bored. She usually sits by the door when it’s just me and her, silly dog. She doesn’t love me, sniff.

Anyway, it’s been a light week this week, but next week will be quite hectic. Crap.

I survived

OMG, I’ve been dreading this training session for work all week. I finally survived. I think they were rather bored with me. But hell, I would be boring too if I was shooting darts blindly. I definitely need to study it up a bit to get better at this, but thankfully I don’t have to do much of it. Well now that this is over, I’ve got 2 more conference calls today before I call it a day, one of them being a “firedrill”. Ugh.

Hmm, what to make for dinner tonight? I think Brian will/might be working late again, poo.

Selling my dress

I think I’m going to sell my dress. I’m not that much of a sentimental person and what would I do with the dress anyway, it’s just taking up closet space. I know I can get it preserved and boxed up, but again what will I do with it? Make pillows???

Anyway, I’m going to try to post it on Craigslist and Ebay. We’ll see how much it’ll go for. Maybe the resale value would be a bit higher if I cleaned it…
