I love this picture. Particularly because of the way Brian and Jassin looks. A little fruity, eh?

I’ve had this annoying cold for the last 2 weeks. I’m all phlegmy and gross. The other day I went to the gym. After 4 weeks of not doing weights, I went back full force. Not a good idea. My biceps are so sore, and I went on Wednesday, it’s now Saturday. Arg. Once I get better, I need to start going everyday as usual. I’ve definitely noticed that I’m much more tired if I don’t go. I also bought running shoes from Run On (I totally recommend them by the way). So hopefully I’ll start running full force. My goal is to be able to run 4 miles nonstop 3 times a week. Yeah. Ok.
Work is work. We’re approaching the holiday season which is the most hectic season. EEK.
I need to go get my nails done today. The French nails I had done for the wedding is starting to look stupid as my nails are growing out, so I need to get those removed. I need to get my toes done, last time of the year as the closed toe shoes season begins.
I want to go shoe shopping. Something about shopping for shoes is much more fun that shopping for clothes. I want new boots (again), this time low heels - like the riding boots.
JCrew has the perfect ones, but they’re ridiculously expensive.
I also need some pumps. I don’t have any good pumps. Although I’m not sure where I wear any of this since the dress code at work is casual.
Anyway, we got a couple sets of fiestaware in purple and green in the mail this week. So pretty!
Um still need to finish those thank you cards. I bought more since I ran out so I’ve got about 5 more to write and then I need to address them all and send them out by Monday hopefully.

Weekend update.
Finally a weekend where we don’t have to do anything. It was nice. Friday was Reesey’s 3rd birthday. She’s an adult dog now! Of course we forgot until last night. We went and saw the Illusionist on Friday. It was a good movie, but I barely stayed awake for it. We’re much too old to be out past 10pm. I’m sure the fact that two margaritas had something to do with me being exhausted. But it was such a long week at work.
On Saturday I got a call from my mother. Her older brother, my uncle, passed away. I’ve never met him, but it’s sad to see my mother upset. Please pray for her and our family. I guess she’s just upset that she can’t be there in Cambodia.
Anyway, I spent most of the weekend working on our album. It’s turning out quite well. Although I do need to add a bit of artistic detailing to them. So I’ve done 7 out of the 20 pages. Well I’m not sure. The album contains 20 pages, but mine will be front and back so is it 40 pages?? If so, I’ve got a ton of work to do…

Brian and I have decided to design our own wedding albums. Let’s see if he holds up his end of the bargain or if it’s even better than mine. I hope to have mine done by end of the week. Oh and yeah I guess I still need to upload the rest of the photos for your viewing pleasure.
I also think I’m going to print the honeymoon photos and make a scrapbook out of it. My sister gave me all the tools I need. If only I were creative.
We need a new dining room table…(random I know). But I was at Crate and Barrell exchanging a broken gift and wished a had a nice table to dress up. Someday…

Well the longer I wait to update this, the less I remember. And to think I’d remember every moment on my wedding day.
So Erin got done with Brian’s mom. Next was Julie. We didn’t do much, I ordered a sandwich from Jason’s Deli since I knew I wasn’t going to be building much of an appetite, so we all grazed on that. Kate came in at around noon. I went off to the main club house to check on things and Sheri was kind enough to put some other stuff together after everyone else helped out with the centerpieces. The centerpieces turned out quite nicely considering it was just a hodgepodge of inspiration I got from pictures. It was simple but very cute. Emma, Jacob and I worked on the head table. They were so cute and helpful. Luckily I got some pictures of it with our camera. I headed back to the locker room and asked Brian’s mom to go back to the clubhouse to make her rounds and remind Sheri some stuff. Later on, some snooty country club lady came into the locker room, saw Tony and mumbled some comment about “when did they let men into the locker room?” I didn’t actually hear this, but Tony did and mentioned it to me. He said, “I bet you ten bucks that lady is going to get me kicked out.” I didn’t think much about it, but sure enough right when Erin was supposed to work on me, the manager came in and asked him to leave. ACK. I was so pissed off. I tried to find the lady, but she was no where to be found. So I marched over to Sheri, but she was with another bride. I finally talked to the co-coordinator and told her, and she said she’ll take care of it. About 20 minutes later, Sheri marched in and talked to the manager. They said he could come back in, as long as he leaves if any country club guests are in there.
So anyway, once we were done, we were going to take formal pictures, but I don’t know what happened or what we decided instead. I guess the point was I was going to hide out in the children’s room while Tony takes formal pictures of him and his guys. During this time, my neices kept coming in and I could see guests starting to arrive. I got kinda frustrated since the whole point of hiding out was that people can’t see me, but of course people kept coming in and out. What a stupid tradition that is (the hiding out part). So they finally moved me to the managers office. It was nice and cool in there and so quiet. I was anxious to get started and finally they called us out there.

Ever since we got back we’ve been busy. We were out of town last weekend so we didn’t even get to enjoy just being at home. I’ve been busier at work, and coming home I’ve got other work to do. I haven’t had much time to even sit down and work on thank you cards or open my gifts or enjoy the pictures we got, or even just enjoy being married. Well of course I’m enjoying married life, but there’s just no time to really relish all those other things. On top of that, after planning a wedding for a year and a half, all of it’s been done and poof it’s gone. It’s quite strange. I still visit the knot boards and weddingbee.com just because it’s fun to read, but it’s really sad not having to anticipate or plan anything. Poo.
I think tomorrow we’ll set a date night. I need a drink ;-)
