Engagement Must Have’s

So I’ve “borrowed” some pictures from other brides to use as inspiration for our must have engagement photos. We’re getting ours done May 14th at the Las Colinas Canals, and I’ve also included some shots from there just to give you an idea of the setting. Anyway, I’m super excited. Hopefully Tony will let us change since I’m hoping to have more dressier shots and us in jeans. We’ll see.

Engageversary

Haha, so one year ago today Brian proposed in NYC.

:-)

Not very often people can celebrate this.

Only 4 more months to go!

Our Monogram

monogramSo I’m hoping to get this printed on stuff. Definitely the program and maybe on the aisle runner and I’m not sure what else. Tell me what you think. I think I need to make the B less purple and more fushia. It would also look great with an orange border of some sort, but I’m just gonna leave as is.

More purchases

I went to Garden Ridge this morning to see if I can find anything. I bought a cake serving set for 9.99. 24 votive holders for 8 bucks. Some random picture frames for the picture table for about 10 bucks. 12 spools of ribbon in orange and fushia for the invitations and the glass centerpieces all for 16 bucks.

Engagement Session

Well I was hoping I can get on Tony’s schedule for May 7th, but unfortunately we might have to do it on May 14th which is fine, I just hope the heat is bearable like today. It was such a beautiful day today. Anyway, I’m mildly disappointed since I’ve been waiting to do the engagement session for sometime. Oh well. I hope he’s available the 14th. I did make sure to email him about the bridals too…

Free iPod

Click here to sign up for the free iPod deal. I only need ONE more person to get mine!

I need a new one badly to work out with and drown out the people at work. My old one has a broken screen so it’s hard to use. I broke it while trying to hold on to the dog and adjusting it. It just dropped. :-(

Florists

I’m meeting with a couple florists in the next two weeks. I think we’re just going to have the ceremony at the country club. No sense in wheeling guests around. :-( I am rather sad though, I’ve always pictured myself getting married in a church. Maybe I should take my aunts offer to help me find one.

Alcohol

Alright so I’m trying to determine how much we need to reserve for alcohol.

Here is my breakdown:
1 domestic keg $285
1 imported keg $310
open liquor bar $1000 cap (mixed drinks and wine ranges from 4.50 to 6.50)

Is this enough? I know that at least 1/3 to 1/2 won’t drink at all. I may be overestimating, not sure.

I originally was going to have an open bar and put a $1000 cap and turn it into a cash bar. BUT, people are saying that we’ll reach our cap within the first hour since 1000 for 150 people would amount to 2 beers per person or 1 mixed drink per person.

This one is difficult since I’ve only been to weddings where the hosts would bring their own alcohol.
