Photographer Chosen

We haven’t signed the contract yet, but I’ve made my final decision. We met with this photographer yesterday and liked him alot. Not only does he seem pleasant to be working with but also very talented and courteous. I love his work! It’s exactly what I’m looking for. The only down side of course are the album choices. It was nice, but not impressive and overly expensive. In fact we’ve had to increase our photography budget just to book this guy. I’ve decided not to get an album but only use his services for engagement, bridal, and wedding day photography. What we get is his time and the negatives and a couple prints from the engagement and bridal sessions. That’s it. No extra prints, nothing. EEEK!!! Am I making a rash decision? Am I settling because I dont want to look any further? I dunno. All I know is that I liked it and didn’t like any of the others that I’ve seen. We’ll be paying 2500 bucks for these services and if we decide to get an album it’s another 1095. Should I get one?? I found an alternative where we can send in our album design (using photoshop) and it costs about 500 bucks. That’s only 600 less than what he would be charging us. Is it worth our own time?? EEEK DECISIONS!
Well I’m gonna email him and tell him we’re going to sign. I feel like I’m signing away my life and bank account…..
Anyway, this is the guy….Tony Valadez.

I dunno, I would love to do my own album cuz it’ll be exactly what I want ^_^ (of course, that and the fact I’m just cheap)

I agree with you. I think most photographers let you have a say of how you want the album to be designed. But I’d rather work on it myself since I’m so picky. You seem to have a talent with montages, so I might get your help with photoshop.

We just took our engagements with Tony and it was AWESOME! We felt like celebrities. So far the pics I’ve seen have been fantastic! I don’t think you will be disappointed.

HUGE fan of Tony’s! He’s VERY talented and a genuinely nice guy! I know he’s expensive (but you know how your search has gone with looking for cheaper alternatives – trust me, I was the same way!), but years from now when your children and grandchildren see those pictures and understand who you were as younger versions of yourselves – you’ll realize it was an investment. You’ll be glad you made the decision.
