Today, like most Sundays I spend the afternoon with my parents. I still don’t have my ring. Hopefully it’s en route from New York, if not I will have a hissy fit. Anyway, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. My mom kept talking about so and so and their lives, just like any mom would I guess. Finally I said, what are you doing next year in September… I told her I was getting married. It wasn’t as akward as I thought it would be, but then again Brian wasn’t there. I figured I might as well tell her now before we show up and surprise them, I don’t think they like surprises. Her first reaction was along the lines of “about time, I’m getting old.” Then they started talking about how other families celebrate weddings and they would invite 600 people. I’m guessing she wants a big wedding. I don’t want more than 200 guests there. In fact 200 guests is pretty big. Anyway, they said they were happy, and really the only thing they want for me and Brian is that we have a successful career and happy life…
